I'm a former pastor who has lived a lot of life.  I've met so many people whom I recognized as being "children of God."  And not all of them would even agree that there is a God.  I have come to the conclusion that we all have individual paths to God.  I have done many things, and I want to write.  In addition I believe that God leads me to individuals, and/or them to me, for a "visit."  I enjoy this, and am blessed by it.

So I have also come to believe that it is time to start The Gathering.

One page here will be about things that interest me or that I'm familiar with, and I hope that others will want to dialogue with me.

Another page will be for the spiritual side of The Gathering.  There I will talk about what led me to this point, and about discoveries or questions that I have come across.

and I may post your comments, at my discretion and with editing to remove what I consider offensive to me or others, or if you request, or I so choose, I will not post them.  I will try to acknowledge all comments, one way or another, if it is possible to do so.

Soon, I will start a Google/Blogger BLOG that will point to this BLOG.  And its advantage will be that comments are more easily made.  It may be that, as time goes on, I may be able to afford to obtain a better comment system here.

But at the present, I do not want to become obligated or beholden to any church or denominarion, nor even to seek a non-profit status.  Nor will I seek donations or contributions.  Understand - I would not refuse any, but I promise no special blessing for doing so, and certainly there will be no tax break.

In the next few weeks, I'll probably post some of my history (testimony is the way that church people describe it).  I wanted to get this going, and refine it as I go.
